Trinity’s 150th Anniversary Societies

A hundred and fifty years ago several people ‘felt the lack of the comfort and sacramental offices of the Episcopal Church.’  Following a meeting on April 18, 1872, our ancestors set about incorporating Trinity Church, establishing a regular pattern of worship, and ultimately securing the land upon which we continue to worship to this day.  We stand on the shoulders of previous generations whose vision, dedication, and sacrifice have brought us to the glorious celebration of our Sesquicentennial.

Over the past several years we have been prayerfully asking God to quicken our imagination so that we will be inspired to honor our past, live out our baptism today, and serve future generations.  The season of preparation is now over, and the opportunity for action has come.  The 150th Anniversary Committee invites you to prayerfully consider becoming a member of one or more of the following five societies:

  • The Legacy Society (Include Trinity in your will)

  • The Worship Society (Enrich the organ, vestments, and church furniture)

  • The Cornerstone Society (Renovate the Sherlock Hall Complex)

  • The Greening Society (Be a good Steward of God’s Creation)

  • The Outreach Society (Help the Parish become a founding member of ECS)

You can view a detailed guide to the societies here.  Become a member of any, or all, of these societies by pledging your support — no matter how large or small.  Once all pledge cards have been received — Sunday, December 11, 2022, is the due date — a plaque will be displayed in Sherlock hall with the membership of each society.  You may donate over the next three years (2023 through 2025), please indicate, on your pledge card, the amount you intend to give and the year and month in which you will make the contribution/s.
